Description

When an event is posted to a multiple group calendars, do we ensure that people in groups to which the event has been added receive only one notification, similar to how we do so for group posts for multiple groups?

also, a question -- I set the category here to "Events." should it be "group calendars" instead, to differentiate them from calendar plugins on Commons websites?

Yes. https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/bp-event-organiser/blob/d3bd473b5d72e8a75384f44ae4cde8c5cdf7bc72/includes/group.php#L920

The way I use the 'Events' category, it refers to the calendar on the main site. When people have questions about event-related plugins, I file it under 'WordPress Plugins'. 'Group calendars' would not be a totally accurate synonym, since the Events feature on the main site is not necessarily linked to groups.

Marking as resolved, but please reopen (or open a separate bug ticket) if you find that it's not behaving as you expect.
