Description

Hello,

Micheal Smith just posted an issue on the WordPress HELP forum explaining that after he uploaded a PDF document he received an error "request entry too large" message. (See here: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/wordpress-help/forum/topic/reached-file-limits/.)

Boone, I remember you saying that the max file size for individual files is 100MB, but is there a max space limit for blogs? Is it also possible to check if the max file size was changed by accident?

Best,
Sarah

  • Target version set to Not tracked

The screenshot linked to in that forum post suggests that it's a server configuration issue, probably related to our recent move to a new server. And it does not appear to be linked to overall blog space, but instead to the size of the individual file being uploaded. Michael, can you provide more details about that file? How big was it? (Sorry this ticket got lost for so long, btw)

I switched to resolved as I was subsequently able to upload the PDFs a few weeks later so it definitely was not a size limitation and likely do to the move as you suggested Boone.
