Description

Joseph Paul Hill writes via ZD:

I help manage the Career Planning & Professional Development site.

Currently, we host recordings of our past webinars on GoToWebinar and simply provide an external URL link to the video files from our website. However, we're now switching over to Zoom and will be cancelling our GoToWebinar subscription.

Best case scenario: we'd like to upload recordings of our past webinars directly to our website. However, we're coming up against the media library's maximum upload file size (40 MB). Our video files range from about 50 to 150 MB. Is there a way to get around the media library's size limit? Or do we simply need to come up with a different solution for hosting our video files?

Thanks!

I'm afraid that we don't have the storage capacity necessary for this kind of use case.

Scott, I'm wondering whether you have any thoughts about workarounds. For example, might it be possible to use a Google Drive or Dropbox folder, and then tie it to the Commons using an integration plugin?

all CUNY staff, faculty (and I think students) have free access to dropbox, so that it may be a good solution
