I noticed that I needed permission to update a theme after I purchased the updated theme. I was hoping to update jleggett.commons.gc.cuny.edu to Attitude Pro. If that is possible what information do you need from me? https://www.themehorse.com/support-forum/search/activate+pro/

- Status changed from New to Reporter Feedback
I'll need a zip that contains the theme files, and I can include in the next Commons maintenance release. See https://dev.commons.gc.cuny.edu/hosting-partner-handbook/#plugin-and-theme-requests

Thanks - zip file attached.

Thank you. Added in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/99f2278fe7a2b4fbdf8f6f204172775880525da0. It will be available after November's first maintenance release.

- Status changed from Staged for Production Release to Resolved
The theme is now on the production site, and has been enabled (though not activated) for jleggett.commons.gc.cuny.edu.

The requester is asking when it will be available to him. Thanks in advance!

As noted on Tuesday, the theme is now available for activation on the site in question. See https://jleggett.commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/themes.php?search=attitude

Apologies - I didn't understand what "enabled (though not activated)" meant. Does he do something?
Updated by Boone Gorges about 4 years ago
"Enabled" means that the theme is available for use on the site. "Activated" means that the theme is the one that is, in fact, currently being used on the site. As a matter of policy, when someone requests a theme, I enable it for them, but I don't activate it, because activating changes the way the site looks in a way that might require further user action.
The user must go to Dashboard > Themes and activate the theme.

He replies "Theme is active but still not upgraded...? See screenshot attached."

The Attitude theme is activate. Attitude Pro is a different theme, and must be activated separately. See the attached screenshot from https://jleggett.commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/themes.php?search=attitude.

Boone -
Sorry, I don't know how things have gotten lost in translation here. I did send you the Zip for the Pro version on the 29th.
Updated by Boone Gorges about 4 years ago
Yes, and I added it to the 1.17.7 release. The user simply has to go to Dashboard > Themes, find 'Attitude Pro', and then activate it. The user thinks that the theme is "upgraded" automatically, but this is not the case - from the WP point of view, it's a totally different theme and so must be manually upgraded by the site's administrator.

Thanks! The user reports success, and now I am wiser. Thanks for your patience.
