Description

Just tried to create accounts for a few of our MLA colleagues (starting with ), but when I did so, I received the error message shown in the attached screenshot. I assume this has something to do with our most recent upgrade of WP. If you could prioritize this so that we can add these accounts soon, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

You'll have to clear the CUNY-only address rule momentarily.

Network Admin > Settings > Limited Email Registrations

Remove the *.cuny.edu restriction; create the accounts; then reinstitute the rule.

Okay . . . . but this is a change in how we used to do things.

Then it's due, as you say, to a change in WP. I can write a workaround, but it will take a few hours, and my suggested method works fine, so I'd ask that the workaround be a low priority.

Two things:

1. Sure, workaround can/should be low priority, but I think it should be done because I opening up registrations for everybody regardless of domain at those moments when we're manually creating new users on the backend;

2. I'm unable to delete the *.cuny.edu rule from Settings. When I delete it and click save, the page refreshes with the rule intact.

1. #1372
2. Look for "Limited Email Domains That Actually Work" at the bottom of Network Admin > Settings

Got it -- and that worked. Thanks.
