Description

Stacy from the GC PublicsLab reports "I'm having issues with the Events plug-in on the PublicsLab site (plbeta.commons.gc.cuny.edu) in that it emails me every time someone registers for an event. I've already checked the Email tab in Settings, and it doesn't look like it should be emailing me and yet it does, every time.

This is more an annoyance than an actual problem, but I'd still prefer that it not do this. It didn't used to do it, but I've been having the issue since at least the start of the Spring 2021 semester. Would it be possible for someone to look into it? Thanks!"

I see a number of toggles at https://publicslab.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=event&page=events-manager-options#emails that may control this behavior. When Stacy says "I've already checked the Email tab in Settings", is this what she's referring to? Perhaps she could have a closer look at this URL and play with the settings there.

If the problem persists, it would be helpful for me to have a copy of one of the notification emails she receives, along with the email address where it's sent, so that I can do some further investigation.

She writes - "Wait, never mind! I think I figured it out. It wasn't an email related to the event, it was a new user registration email. I changed a setting. Let me wait and see if that works. I'll let you know if it doesn't."
