Description

I just visited the Commons as a non-logged-in user on an incognito browser window of chrome, and the recent blog post listing I saw there surprised me -- it contained only one post (see attached screenshot).

My guess is that this has to do with the setting on the widget -- ie., it shows only posts from a limited time, and since there was only one blog post during that period, only one is shown.

I think that there should be no time limit on the widget -- ie., it should show the ten most recent blog posts, even if the tenth most recent blog post was published a year ago.

It's not related to time limits, but instead to the fact that different blog entries have different privacy levels. There is a plugin running on the Commons that uses a sort of hack to make sure that private and semi-private blog posts don't show up in the public stream. The fix will not be trivial; I'll probably have to rebuild most of that plugin, or at least come up with a more clever hack. I'm going to leave it in the 1.3.3 release for the moment, but if it ends up taking more than a few minutes, it's getting moved to a feature release (where, you know, features belong ;) )

LOL. Sorry. I'll try to remember that.

Also, if it's not related to time limits, why wouldn't the quota of recent posts be filled with other public posts? I'm pretty sure that the blog shown is not our only public blog. . . . .
