Description
Hi - I noticed that there are two "A" Records. Will that work, or should I ask for the non-CAC one to be deleted?
Commons Site URL= https://sruthi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
GANDI Domain: sruthi.org
Updated by Boone Gorges over 2 years ago
- Assignee changed from Boone Gorges to Matt Gold
I think it'll work, since the CAC record is first. Matt, you can go ahead and make the request.

I can try again to generate the SSL cert - but this creates unnecessary uncertainty.

Thanks, Lihua. I was about to share your emailed response with Scott:
Nslookup for this domain is showing the following result:
[root@ldv2 httpd]# nslookup sruthi.org 8.8.8.8
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: sruthi.org
Address: 146.96.128.200
Name: sruthi.org
Address: 217.70.184.38
It means the domain owner created a round-robin kind of entry for the name sruthi.org, and verification of domain would fail half of the time (theoretically). This is a problem for generating SSL cert for the domain.
Please ask the domain owner to change the record to resolve ONLY to 146.96.128.200
Scott, can you please contact the user?

I put in the request, but have not heard back from Sruthi.

Ok - Sruthi has removed the non-Commons "A" Record.

- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Target version set to Not tracked
Lihua has completed the mapping, and I've completed the WP configuration. https://sruthi.org
