Hi Raffi,
IT recently implemented an IP ban for IPs that hit more than 120 403/404 pages in an hour. I'm guessing your IP might be on the list.
Can you pass your IP so I can check the access logs? In the meantime if you have access to a VPN, cellular data or another wi-fi network, you can try to connect to the Commons that way.

Sorry, Raymond. I was at a coffee house using their wifi. I don't have the IP address handy. I find this head-scratching; I was able to access many other websites with no problem, even other CUNY websites.

I am now having this problem at a different hotspot. It was working fine for about 1/2 hour and then all of a sudden I am getting my connection refused. CAC on my mobile phone network, however. This is a significant problem; many people may be accessing CAC from public wifi hotspots like at coffee shops.

After switching to my mobile hotspot, again, after 30 minutes, I have the same experience. Now, I can no longer access CAC from either the coffee shop wifi hotspot or my private mobile phone hotspot.

Hi Raffi,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble accessing the Commons.
I just checked the IP you provided and I do not see any 403/404 logs for your IP or your subnet (any IP beginning with 146.95.214.
). If you experience problems accessing the Commons again, please note down your IP address so we can see if the issue is due to 403/404s or something else entirely.
