Description

Hi All,

This is not pressing but i am following up on a request/idea from Ryan SSeslow about making it possible to embed MMM pages on the Commons. He uses this site for teaching, and I can imagine possibilities for other profs adopting the tool. We ran a workshop that featured this tool last spring, so there is some interest. I imagine these MMM pages could be embedded similar to how we allow google maps or timelines?

MMM website is here: https://mmm.page/

and sample here: https://mmm.page/lhurson.workshop

Thanks!

  • Category name set to Shortcodes and embeds
  • Assignee set to Boone Gorges
  • Target version set to 2.0.5

I'll look into this for the 2.0.5 release.

  • Status changed from New to Deferred

I started to build this embed feature, but ran into a roadblock. Chrome returns the following:

Refused to display 'https://mmm.page/' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'deny'.

This suggests that mmm.page has explicitly disallowed external embedding.

It looks to me like this isn't going to work, unless mmm.page at some point releases some sort of embed code feature on their site.

Okay, good to know. It's too bad that MMM doesn't allow embeds. Thanks so much for looking into this Boone!
