Description

I would like to put Meebo widget to the sidebar. I activated the plugin, went to Dashboard > Settings > Meebo Me to set up the interface and account information. But when I got to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets, the Meebo Me widget is not listed and I cannot drag it to the sidebar. After the interface configuration, I was given a html code to be inserted in a TEXT widget, but the code disappeared because of security reasons.

I just check it now and the widget is not under Settings anymore.

The Meebo Me plugin, it appears, was never intended to create a widget - the only thing it provides is a PHP function for embedding directly in your theme, which is useless on the Commons, since we don't allow file-level access.

In https://github.com/castiron/cac/commit/9c69c54c932cdc106c7fbec73cb34eb4d1df1516 I added a very simple widget. Rowena, you should see a Meebo Me widget in Appearance > Widgets after the 1.3.11 release.
