Description

Hi All,

I was looking through sites to feature and found this site: https://digitaloccultlibrary.commons.gc.cuny.edu/forums/forum/dol-forum/

I noticed there is a lot of potential spam in the forum? Do you want me to contact them and ask them to remove? If so, can you let me know who the admin is?

Thanks,
Laurie

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I have marked the spam posts as such. It appears to me that the spam tool (Akismet) is actually working, as it's caught thousands of items, but perhaps there was a hiccup for a few days while these items were posted. I'll make a note to circle back on this site in a week or two to see if there's any new spam. If so, let's reach out at that point to the site admin to talk about the forum settings.

I get occasional tickets about that site, usually asking for access. As I wrote recently:

"We host that site, but I don't think you need an access code for the page. If you do,, I see on this page - https://digitaloccultlibrary.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ - that you should write to . But the site hasn't been updated in years. Hope it works out! "

I don't see any new spam. I'll check again in a few months before closing this ticket permanently.

Looks like Akismet is holding back the flood, so let's close the ticket.
