Description
Hi All,
I am moving a large portion of the TLC website to its own site on the Commons. The workshop archive, originally built into the TLC site, continues to grow and we would like to make it a stand alone resource.

All of the the content (workshops entries) were created as pages on the TLC (as to not interfere with our news posts etc.) but now, on a standalone site, it would be ideal if each entry was a post.
I already exported much of the content to a site here:

But I am wondering: do we already have a plugin that converts pages to posts? If so, I couldn't identify it. And if we do not, would we be able to add the plugin below to the commons (and/or just the test site above, if that is preferred).

I could look into some plugin-related solutions. But I wonder if, for your one-off purpose, you could try something more low-tech. When you've exported from the source site, you get an XML file. Open it and look for lines that look like this:
<wp:post_type><![CDATA[page]]></wp:post_type>
If you change 'page' to 'post', then WP will import them as posts.
Have a look and see if this is feasible. If it's not a huge amount of work for you, and if it accomplishes what you're trying to do, I'd prefer it to installing a plugin that may introduce new issues when used more widely across the Commons.
