Description

From Carlos Guevara at Hostos

I am facing a strange problem in my blog: https://edtech.commons.gc.cuny.edu

The pages lose the option to scroll down the pages, but it only happens after I login to the site. It will collapse the main page that Commons footer side by side and even in the dashboard it will stop any scrolling no matter where I go.

I tried with chrome, safari and Firefox and got the same result. After doing some troubleshooting and disabling all plugins, I identified that the one causing the problem is the elementor plugin. Once disabled, the site starts working normally, but the problem I have is that the pages I created with the features of this plugin do not work anymore. Screenshots below.

Your help to check if the plugin has an update or if it got corrupted it can be reinstalled, will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Tom Harbison had also alerted us to an elementor problem - https://app.keeping.com/view/s/51fe308a-2f41-4282-b143-45ac5684ee9a/

The problem is due to a conflict with the help dialog's CSS and the Elementor plugin. I've pushed a fix to ensure that the help dialog's CSS does not interfere with Elementor -- https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/b3e4a5b8be6804929fcaed3d3643b5b1636add7b . Fix is live on production.

Can you ask Carlos and Tom to test and see if the problem is still there?

Going to close this one out due to inactivity. Marilyn, feel free to reopen or create a new ticket if the scrolling issue is still occurring with Elementor.
