"I work for the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and I was wondering if someone on the dev team had a moment to chat with me. I am currently testing and slightly developing a plugin/theme for WordPress, and I think this plugin/theme could possibly be HUGELY beneficial to other CUNY schools at the college. If I could have a moment to discuss this with someone, I would greatly appreciate it.

I asked for more info. Here's the reply:
"I have been building out way for my college to use WordPress as a digital signage solution for use on our campus. After doing some testing I was successfully able to get it running on a small single board computer (Raspberry Pi) (See Photo Below). Although, it worked the video was choppy (dropping frames), and I am rebuilding the system hardware-wise to use older Dell Optiplex Micro computers. Also, I am structuring the system to use a single host computer that will run the system and slaves for each LCD screen on our campus.
One day I was assisting someone create a CUNY Academic Commons website and realized that this solution could be integrated into CUNY Academic Commons. Then CUNY universities throughout the system could benefit from using a simple, scalable, reliable, and customizable signage system and not pay the often-huge cost of implementing such as solution. CUNY universities can even repurpose older micro computers to deploy this on their campus at no additional cost as well.
If you like to hear more details about the capability or functionality of the system, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and we can chat."

Thanks, Marilyn. Could you make an email introduction between me and Jacob? I can talk to him directly about his work.
Just curious about what happened with this.
I sent an email asking for links to a repo, but I never heard back.
