Description

I had planned to use the Simpler iPaper plugin to embed a Scribd doc on a blog page, but when I activated it, no settings page came up. It looks like the plugin hasn't been worked on for a few years. . . .

Dom, when you get a chance, please have a look at this plugin. See what it does (I have no idea ;) ). Maybe there's a better plugin for it, or maybe it's worth fixing if it's easy and there are no alternatives. Don't spend too much time on it without reporting back here first. Thanks!

Hi Matt - I think the plugin is still working and people are using it. (I just tested it out.) There are basically no settings needed - just activate it. And then, on the Scribd side, you need to get the embed code, which is automatically generated for Html, Flash, and WordPress. (It's one of the top menu options for each document "<>Embed".) So I just pick WP, click on embed options, configured, and then copy the embed code and paste it into a post or blog, and it works for me. Hope this helps.

I know the plugin seems to be abandoned - not updated in several years, and there may be better options...

Interesting -- thanks, Scott. My memory of how this plugin worked is that one had to use a shortcode rather than a straight embed. Interesting.

I'm assuming this is fixed, based on what Scott says above. Matt, if you continue to have issues, please report back.
