Description

Richard Knipel (CUNY Wikimedian-in-Residence) is asking if we could move the content currently at https://wiki.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ to something like wiki-archive.commons.cuny.edu. To the best of my knowledge, the site deprecated in 2016 and hasn't been active for around a decade, and they would potentially like to use the wiki.commons.gc.cuny.edu subdomain for the active content they're currently developing at https://wircuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Is this technically feasible? Let me know if you need any additional information and I'd be happy to coordinate with Richard further depending on where we stand.

It's technically feasible, but it will break existing external links that point to wiki.commons.gc.cuny.edu. Colin, are you able to use analytic tools to see whether there's external referral traffic to wiki.commons?
