Bug #2356
closedResponsive header on cbox/commonsinabox.org
0%
Description
I think that this is really a theme issue and should thus probably be reported on github, but I enter it here since it's also affecting cbox.org and I haven't verified the report. The attached screenshot comes from Mark Abrams. He notes that the header image isn't responsive and also says that on his retina display, he sees little gray dots at corners.

I don't think this is a theme issue. It has to do with the CSS being used on commonsinabox.org.

Dom, can you try to figure out how to make the header image shrink at small window sizes?

I've opened a new issue on the cbox-theme github issue tracker to hopefully close this issue out:

From the looks of things, this is no longer an issue - the header logo appears to adjust properly at various widths, and I don't see any problems on a retina display. Please confirm.

Boone, I just resized commonsinabox.org in Safari and the logo does resize and respond properly. However, the Google CSE box still seems to be "in the way." The logo overlaps the search box at the smallest width. In the closed Github issue we discussed how this was specific to the commonsinabox.org site. I'm not sure if you want to open a specific issue about the search box CSS, but since this issue is specifically about resizing of the header logo we can probably close it because it does appear to work correctly.

Yes, looks good (except that at smaller browser widths, the google search box appears on top of the cbox logo). I'll leave it to you whether to close the issue out or, start a new one for that, or ignore.

I've put Dom's original fix in for the Google search bar. Marking resolved.
