Description
Via Keeping:
As I've been doing for years, I created a blog for my MALS 7400 / CL 89400 course this semester -- https://mals27400s26.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ However, there seems to be some peculiar issue this semester with adding users.I went into "add user" and put in CUNY email addresses for all eight students in the class.
But only one student appears to have received the message. Even with additional support from me, only two others have managed to show up on the blog as users thus far. I sent everyone the link, and students tell me they can see the blog, but don't know how to get in as users, and aren't receiving the invitations.
It's especially odd because several of the students who haven't enrolled were in courses I've taught in the past year or so and are users on other CUNY Commons blogs I've set up.

Looking at this now. Marilyn, I see in the database that several invites were sent to email addresses belonging to you, one at 2026-02-03 16:11:53 UTC (11:11am EST) and one at 2026-02-03 17:09:38 (12:09pm EST). Can you confirm whether you received the invitation emails at either of these addresses?
Small data set, but it appears that the only accepted invites are those that are associated with a gradcenter.cuny.edu email address. It's possible there's some sort of filtering issue, though it's odd that it would happen at multiple campuses. As such, your experience with jjay.cuny addresses would be helpful.
I don't have a straightforward way of seeing previously-sent emails, though I've just enabled (temporarily) a logger that will catch outgoing emails to ensure that the problem is not with WP sending them. Let me know if the user sends another test email, and at the very least I can eliminate this possible point of failure.
I did not receive either. I have the list of folks she'd like to invite. Should I do it myself now? 4 have @gradcenter emails and one is @bcmail.cuny.edu
Yeah, if you don't mind sending those now, I can monitor the logs. Let me know when you've done so.
Just reinvited them plus myself @ psychology
Thanks. I think I might have spotted the problem, and I've just pushed a fix. Can you please try again (OK to just invite your own address if you want, or all of them is also fine) so that we can verify? Note that it might take 5-10 minutes for the emails to go out.
