Via Keeping, Abigail Hendrix reports:

"I've noticed that the short links generated by academic commons have stopped working. For example, the short link to this page, https://wircuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/?p=1859, is a dead link. Is there a way to fix this issue, or is it a user error?"

Later she elaborates:

"I am an admin on the site. I'm attaching a screenshot of where I am getting the short links. This one is also not working: https://wircuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/?p=219

But others have worked, like this one: https://wircuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/?p=1879"

Hi Marilyn,

I did some debugging on the site and found that the NextGen Gallery plugin was causing a conflict with page shortlinks. Post shortlinks continued to work.

Since it did not look like NextGen Gallery was being used on the site, I have deactivated the plugin. Both page ID 1859 and 219 shortlinks should be working again.
