Description

So Google can be directed to crawl to a commons blog:

If possible, please install Google Sitemaps plugin
http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-plugin/

A potential issue might be that google requires a sitemap.xml file (generated by plugin) to be accessible on the server.

The specific plugin requested will not work on the Commons for a number of reasons, most notably that it's not compatible with WordPress Multisite.

I've installed a version that does claim Multisite compatibility, and seems to be pretty robust. It's called "BWP Google XML Sitemaps" and will be available after tonight's release. https://github.com/castiron/cac/commit/19c54c03b28b6be43751f143cc293badb8007994
