Description

I don't think I ever noticed Tools>>Domain Mapping and Tools>>Redirection available to Commons members. Just wondering if this is a setting that got turned on by accident? Or maybe the two options have been available all along, and I just didn't notice...

(this in relation to a blog with a broken link due to its owner changing the domain, using this option)

Hi Scott -

Tools > Redirection should only show up if you've activated the Redirection plugin. This plugin is intended for redirecting specific pages in your site, and I think it's legitimate for site owners to use.

Tools > Domain Mapping doesn't fit in very well with our larger system, because we (meaning the dev/server team) have to make some server adjustments for it to work. So it doesn't make much sense to let individual site users add their own mappings. I've disabled the menu item. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
