Hi,
We've pointed the domain name (murphyinstituteblog.org) to the Academic Commons nameservers. What's our next step?
Thanks,
Leah

Hi Leah -- we need to wait for the Grad Center's IT department to set up the domain mapping the server. I am hopeful that that will happen today, and I will notify you when I hear something.

Leah's original request had a typo - muphyinstituteblog.org intead of murphyinstituteblog.org . Many thanks to Scott for catching that. I have asked IT to update the server.

I'd assumed that it was a typo, too. It appears that IT assumed this as well, because the mapping is working as expected. http://murphyinstituteblog.org/ I think this issue is resolved.

Thanks Boone - but just one question - when you click on murphyinstituteblog.org, shouldn't the url change to murphyinstituteblog.commons.gc.cuny.edu/? I thought that is the way the other ones work - but I might be wrong.

Nope. The purpose of mapping the domains is so that you can use your custom domain for all URLs. A simple redirect wouldn't require a mapping plugin (and is something that users can set up themselves at their registrars, without submitting a request to us.)
