Bug #3393
closedWidgets reset on JITP

Description
Hi Boone--
It looks like the latest update of the Commons have reset the homepage widgets on JITP - http://jitp.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
Of immediate concern, I'd like to know whether there is an easy way for me to see how these were set up before the update so that I can restore previous settings (I'm guessing no - but maybe on CDEV?)
Of secondary concern, I'm wondering whether these changes were specific to this theme or whether this will be a wider problem on the Commons.
Marking with high priority as the JITP team is worried and the effects of this could be widespread.

Can't seem to get into CDev to check - have been trying jitp.cdev.gc.cuny.edu

Okay - I am manually resetting widgets on JITP. So consider that resolved, but let's use this ticket to see/discuss whether this has happened to other blogs after the update or whether it was just this theme.

Can you please wait a minute so I can investigate? Thanks.

Sorry, but I already got them back up. Apologies.

Actually, it looks like I haven't yet touched Home Middle #1 Widget if that is useful

I'm not seeing anything in that array in the database, but it's likely that any evidence there might have been was overwritten when you started putting things back. If this happens again, please let me look at the situation before manually fixing. Thanks.

Also, should I continue to hold off or does it not matter now?

Doesn't matter. Go ahead and wrap it up.

Yes. We haven't figured out the deeper issue -- why this happened and whether it also happened on other blogs -- but JITP is fine.
