Description

Hi Boone,

I would like to embed in a WP page a markdown file (.md) hosted on github. I would love for it to be refreshed as I push updates to github. Do you know of any reasonably easy way to do that?

Here are some of the Github/Markdown plugins I found, none of which seem to do the trick:

Github WP plugins - http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=github

WP Markdown - https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-markdown/ (just allows you to use markdown)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts you have.

Is it possible to store it in a Gist? http://gist.github.com If so, Github has an embed code. This is the easiest.

If it's part of a larger repository, then maybe the answer is no?

Yes, I think I can make a gist work. How might I use the embed code?

There's an embed script at the right of each gist: https://gist.github.com/boonebgorges/79b5d0f628a884cb3b3b

Huh. I had assumed that Multisite would disallow the embed, but apparently not - http://gcenglishf14.commons.gc.cuny.edu/syllabus-and-calendar/

Many thanks!
