Description

I was wondering if we want to have the CBOX theme as a choice for members on the Commons. Not sure if this would cause any difficulties, since it is a BP theme... Maybe with the sitewide wiki and its widgets (which we could also as a plugin option)?

This is going to take some investigation. The theme should work perfectly fine without BP, but the problem is that we have BP, and it's activated networkwide. Ray, do you have thoughts about possible ramifications if cbox-theme were activated on a subsite of the Commons?

Moving to future release until we've come to some conclusions.

We'd probably have to create an override plugin to hide BuddyPress-specific theme options as well as deregistering the CBOX Theme's BP menus, widgets and sidebars.

We already have the cbox-theme on the Commons, but only specifically for the Teleplaza site (see #12064).

I don't think we want to open up cbox-theme to all sites as I believe there are lighter themes that can accomplish the same task and that the theme is not really maintained anymore.

I'm going to mark this as rejected for now, but we can open up discussion if we want to revisit this again if warranted.
