Bug #3591
closedCommenting Disabled on Docs
0%
Description
It looks like commenting may be disabled on docs. When I recently created a doc in the Commons Team group it didn't give me as many options as I used to have -- just the category and parent information. Matt reported not being able to comment on the doc and I just checked other docs that had comments and it said that comments were disabled.

Yes, this is a result of the 1.7 changes to BuddyPress Docs. When I moved all Docs stuff into groups, I guess I filtered too much out. I will look at reinstating some of the fine-grained settings in a future release.
It looks like commenting may be disabled on docs.
I traced this to what appears to be a separate issue. To be honest, I'm not totally sure, given the nature of the bug I found, how comments ever worked in Docs. I have put a temporary fix into place so that comments are allowed on all Docs for the time being, and I'll leave the ticket open to do more investigation on the root causes.
