Default notification settings for new groups
The new email notification plugin allows group admins to set the default notification settings for new members of their group. Choices are:
- Immediate notification of all activity
- Immediate notification of new topics only
- Daily digest containing all activity
- Weekly digest containing new topics only
- No email
The plugin default is "No email", which is probably bad for our site. I have two thoughts: either change the setting to Daily Digest (which users could override if they wish), or remove the option from the group admin altogether set a site-wide default for new groups, which individuals can then override. Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm thinking that if we're going to empower individuals to have fine grained control then there isn't as much point to make group admins choose what the default setting is for their group. Also if they want to push something out to all of their members they can use the Announcements.
A related thought. Let's say we set the site-wide default to Daily Digest, Is there something in that email that says something like "want more or less emails from this group? visit _ and change your settings"
