Description

do a review of themes and remove outdated and ugly themes from the site before adding WooThemes. But check to see whether they are being used before removing.

Have you decided on a procedure for this? I'd suggest starting by compiling a list of all the themes that are currently in use by, say, two or fewer blogs. That'll give us a starting place for making decisions about individual themes.

Sounds like a reasonable method -- thanks for the suggestion.

On a related issue, there are a couple of cases in which we have multiple versions of a single theme; Atahualpa and Comic [something or other] come to mind. Upgrading everyone to the latest version could be problematic, so we should think about how we want to handle that.
