Creating/editing recurring events should not create multiple activity items

Description
Must find a way to detect this, as it can trigger a cascade of email notifications.
- Status changed from Assigned to Rejected
Digging into this, it looks like we don't in fact post multiple activity items for recurring events. We post one per event; events can have multiple occurrences, but we don't post per occurrence. I guess when I saw some funniness on the Commons it must have been due to someone creating "recurring" events manually.
