Unable to register account on CBOX Demo Site

We have a CBOX member who wants to use the Demo site. Where do we stand on this? He couldn't register. I tried to register and did not get an email confirmation. I also tried to use my existing credentials, but no good. Did we shut down the Demo site due to spam? I've forgotten... If so we should remove option on navigation.

I can't quite remember -- Boone, do you remember whether we shut it down for good?

I wrote a script that purges all content once per day, but the site is intended to function.

After a bunch of messing around, it looks like activation emails are being intercepted as spam somewhere. This filtering must be happening at the recipient email level, but before it hits the user inbox, because nothing's ending up in spam folders. On a lark, I tried changing the text and the subject of the account activation email, to see if it'd bypass the filters, and lo and behold, it appears to have worked.

Can I get someone else to verify?
