Description

In My Commons, I have Activity listing (Screenshot attached) an event connected to a Group I am a member of. When I click the Event link, I get a Page Not Found Error. However, if I navigate to the Group and Click Events, I can click on the Event and the page opens correctly.

Stephen, can you please share an entire screenshot, and/or share the URLs of the "page not found" error as well as the correct URL of the group?

Boone,

I am adding two screenshots (of My Commons Page and the (Page Not Found) and the two URLs
URL of the event: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/gcdi/events/queering-the-map-theoretical-reflections-on-spatial-methods-for-action-research/
URL of the page not found error: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/events/event/queering-the-map-theoretical-reflections-on-spatial-methods-for-action-research/

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Thanks, Stephen - this is helpful.

It appears that the permalink being used for activity items is the top-level (events/event) permalink. This doesn't always work properly for non-public events. What should probably happen is: for group-linked events, link to the event permalink in the first associated group of which the user is a member. Let me see how difficult this is to implement.

OK, it was pretty simple. This should be fixed in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/bp-event-organiser/commit/04cb048732f0444d098d4f3a21b2966531b9fc7a and as part of 1.8.11.
