Hi Boone,
I was just doing a little testing in the dev site and after I successfully added a comment to a 'page' that I edited (awesomeness!), I posted an update and it gave me some strange "you can't do that" message. The 'update' did go through, but strangely transformed into a comment on a wiki page. I checked the sitewide activity feed an instead of it reading as an 'update' is shows it as a 'comment on a wiki page'. I've attached a screenshot.
