Bug #5486
closedDoc history not showing up

Description
I received an email notification that Sam had edited a doc, but I don't see anything in the doc history. Maybe she didn't change anything? If not, probably best not to send a notification.
Screenshot attached of the email notification. And here is a link to the doc - https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/cac-community-team-project-planning/docs/server-overview-for-it/history/

I got the email too. I don't see any revisions of the document in the database. Sam, can you verify whether you read/saved this Doc?

So I technically edited it. In my institutional repository work yesterday, I clicked 'edit' on the Doc to take a look at the edit interface and then left the tab open in the background. After a while of inactivity, it was auto-saved and the notification emails went out. When I got the notification, I went back to the tab and there was a green box in the interface indicating that it had been autosaved due to a lack of activity. So, I didn't actually change any content in the Doc, but I did have the edit interface open for a while

Thanks, Sam. I had suspected this. Boone, is there a way to prevent the notification from firing if there have not been any changes to the text?
This may be an edge case -- this is the first time I've seen this -- so we can also wait and see if it becomes an issue more widely before taking it on.

I have fixed the bug in Docs and ported it to the Commons in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/37cbfc3d1341ac18c4d8464780f2b3add584ba0a.
