Are others happy with the proposed additions?

A few thoughts:
1) Should this only apply on the group members list, or to all member directories?
2) Some people's Academic Interests can be longish. OK to truncate?
3) More info can be good but too much is worse than not enough.

I think it would be useful on all group directories.

Yes, as long as it's clear that we've cut off the description (ie., we'll need something like [...] or a link with "more"

Hi - thanks so much for working on this! The title field looks like it could potentially be a longish one too and might need to be trunc'd if people get carried away there. The goal would be to provide just enough info to let members identify people they might be interested in - they can always click through for more.

I am interpreting "I think it would be useful on all group directories." as "I think it would be useful on all member directories.", as my question was about member directories outside of groups. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Right. I think the info should be on all group AND all member directories. Do you agree?
