Sitewide Activity allows me to post to groups in the dropdown, but generates error message. See attached. I am running the site on localhost using MAMP.

Thank you for the report, Steve. This appears to be a bug in BuddyPress's bp-default theme, introduced in https://github.com/r-a-y/BP-Default/commit/8eb26614c87fa68dc98b3c389f3c64195e980dce. I've opened a BP ticket to have this fixed in our next release: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7495#ticket

For Commons In A Box, I've put a workaround in place: https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme/commit/f94088cef19513bf6189b020285f332d54b50138
