Description
Hello. I recently purchased the personal plan from WordPress.com that includes automated backups but it needs the VaultPress plugin. I found this article: https://help.vaultpress.com/multisite/. Is it possible to install?

Sure - the documentation makes it sound like it won't be a problem. I'll include it in the May 1 release. Please let me know whether you are able to configure it successfully.

Thanks, Boone. The backup seems to be working, but I am puzzled about how the restore would work. According to [this article](https://blog.vaultpress.com/2015/06/10/faqs-about-ftp-sftp-and-ssh-credentials/), it would seem that I would need (SSH) credentials into the server to do the restore. Of course, I don't have that since this is a multisite install. And, I'm not even sure if every site is stored in its own directory on the server. If that was the case, I suppose I could have access to just that directory, but I am really not sure how WordPress multisite installations are represented.

We maintain systemwide backups of the entire network, so if there were a broad catastrophic event, your site woud be included in the restored backup.
I believe that VaultPress is able to restore your site without FTP access. See https://help.vaultpress.com/one-click-restore/ It's not backing up themes or plugins, in accordance with https://help.vaultpress.com/multisite/.
In any case, if something were to happen to your site specifically, and VP were unable to restore automatically, you could provide the files to me and I could pick them apart and perform the necessary restoration.
