Description

Hey Boone,

Sorry that I didn't check everything at once but I found a small bug for both CTA buttons on the Help page. The 'Create an Account' button does not work and the 'Send us a Message' button opens the top 'Need help with the Commons?' module. Ideally it would open the actual email form. This is also true for all of the "Not exactly what you're looking for?" CTAs on each article page (see screenshot).

Thanks for your continued hard work!

History

  • Category name set to Help/Codex
  • Status changed from New to Reporter Feedback
  • Target version set to 1.11.1

The "Create an Account" link is fixed in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/4ab14371e20ec9e2dbc2ecfb4d619efd6ec5beb3 and deployed to the live site.

Note that it's not possible to access the Register page when logged into the Commons. We should consider putting a different link here (or something) for logged-in users.

This was built according to the spec as I understood it. https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/6301#note-14 Steve expressed some confusion about the mailto behavior (in a different, though similar, context): https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/8169#change-32238. Given that, are we certain that we want a mailto link here? (I don't care one way or another, I just want everyone to be on the same page.)

Paige, could you please review and let me know whether further action is required here?

Just tested on both Safari and Chrome and it seems to be running well. This ticket is resolved in my opinion, thanks Boone!
