Description

Ana Taragon, outgoing College Assistant for MALS, deleted her profile, and then wrote "I checked the pages I created for a website I’m not an administrator of, and they are no longer there.
I was able to find a link for one: https://malsalumni.commons.gc.cuny.edu/alumni-news-2/mals-alumni-faculty/"

In short, can you see what she has deleted and restore the pages/posts on https://malsalumni.commons.gc.cuny.edu and https://malscourseguide.commons.gc.cuny.edu?

The EO and APO of the program would really like those things back

It will take me some time to reconstruct, but I can likely get it back. Please give me a few days to do the necessary combing through the logs.

An update. It turns out that the posts on malsalumni.commons were only trashed, so I was able to restore them through the WP interface.

The posts on malscourseguide.commons were actually deleted. It appears that this site contained several hundred posts, more than I can reasonably reconstruct manually from the logs. I'm going to reach out to IT to access a database backup, which will make it much easier to restore. I'll follow up here when I know more.

Lihua from IT restored a backup of the database from before the content was deleted. I've used this backup to restore the full contents of https://malscourseguide.commons.gc.cuny.edu.
