Member claims that a previously created account has disappeared
Per the email I am sending under separate cover, a member has written in to say that she created an account last year and joined groups, but that her account is now gone. I have no idea whether or not what she's saying is a correct recollection, but a search through the existing membership through the dashboard does not reveal any older accounts.
I'm thinking that we might try to search this on two fronts:
-- When we were trying to solve another issue, it seemed that there is a table in the database that records all account registration/activations. Can you search the user tables directly in the database to see whether you can find the member's email address and/or name?
-- If we still have site backups from last year, it might be worth doing a quick search on one or two of them to see whether we can find anything.
Does this seem reasonable to you? I'm hoping that it won't take that much time; if it will, we should reevaluate the strategy.

I don't recall whether this was resolved via email - I assume we had some follow-up about it - but in any case I'm not sure there's much that can be done now. I'm going to close the ticket, but please reopen if the problem persists or you hear something else about it.
