Description

- What's the name of the plugin/theme?

Text Expander

- [plugins] In a few words, what does it do?

Allows you to define areas of text that expand/collapse when clicked. It is an improved version of Dagon Design's Expanding Text-Plugin.

- How is the plugin/theme different from what's already provided on the Commons?

We do not currently provide this functionality.

- What's the potential impact? Who will use it?

Could be very useful for all sorts of sites, include FAQs. But here are Leila's thoughts:

This is for the SPS writing fellows. Currently, the model assignments and tutorials that last year’s fellows put together exist only in long lists that are difficult to read. I think displaying the information by title with expandable content would be much easier to navigate, but I need this plugin to make the text expand.

- Who initially made the request?

Leila Walker, a Writing Fellow for the School of Professional Studies

- Who is the plugin author?

don't see an author listed on the WP plugin repo

- Say a little bit about the release history and popularity of the plugin. How many times has it been downloaded? When was it last updated?

Slight cause for concern here. Plugin hasn't been updated since January. 4500+ downloads. Average 4 star rating. Some posts on the WP forums saying it doesn't work. We should test.
