I noticed that the DNS entry for engl21007.samuelphillips.me is unnecessarily convoluted by using the subdomain in his CNAME record:

engl21007.samuelphillips.me is an alias for engl21007sp.commons.gc.cuny.edu.

engl21007sp.commons.gc.cuny.edu is an alias for commons.gc.cuny.edu.

commons.gc.cuny.edu has address 146.96.128.200

He should just have a A record OR a CNAME that points commons IP (146.96.128.200) or domain name (commons.gc.cuny.edu)
