Description

Sissel McCarthy has been receiving a lot of JetPack warnings about her Commons site. See attached. She is wondering if there is anything to be worried about. I don't think the Commons has been down at all.

She is using domain mapping and also has a wordpress.com (abandoned) site with the same name, which is maybe causing confusion?

Could this be related to https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/13379 ?

She seems to be getting them every day

I don't think there's anything to worry about. These notifications appear to be incorrect.

My first thought was that Jetpack/wordpress.com is having problems connecting to the Commons. Ray, maybe you have some ideas?

This is a Jetpack feature. If Sissel finds these emails annoying, she can disable them.

Here's how to do so: https://jetpack.com/support/monitor/

To summarize, in the WP admin dashboard, navigate to "Jetpack > Settings" and disable "Get alerts if your site goes offline. We’ll let you know when it’s back up, too."

Thanks, Ray. I'm going to close this ticket on the basis of your recommendations.
