Hi All,

For some reason I seem to continually loose access to the dashboard of the commons home page where I can add to the featured sites and groups lists.

I would like to add the following site to featured sites list
https://gcmteachinghub.commons.gc.cuny.edu

and write it up on the OER showcase page (which I no longer have access to edit)
https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/open-educational-resource-projects-on-the-commons/

Can I please have access to to edit the showcase page? And can someone add this site to the feature sites list or allow me to add the site to the list?

The access issue is the same as #15209, #8860, and countless other tickets.

Laurie, I can add you to the list of users whose roles on the main site are forced. Can you confirm that the username you generally use is laurieh?

Thanks for the confirmation, Laurie. I've made the necessary change in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/300c58d7bafc94a1810591edaf46ad4f85a4227c and pushed it as a hotfix to the production site. On occasion, you may find that you need to refresh a given admin page before you're given the necessary access.

I logged out, cleared by cache, and logged back in and I am still not seeing access to admin area. Am I doing something wrong?

The way the permission-granting tool works, you have to visit the Dashboard directly to trigger it. https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin

Sorry to bring this up again...I think I lost access to the Commons home dashboard. See screenshot

Hi Boone, I was definitely was logged in as laurieh (i dont use another login) but for some reason now I can see it. Not sure if something changed? Either way, thanks for checking.

Thanks for confirming, Laurie. The code introduced at https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/300c58d7bafc94a1810591edaf46ad4f85a4227c should enforce that your account is an administrator on the main site, though occasionally you may need to refresh the page in order to trigger the check. Maybe you viewed the site but didn't refresh in a way that would have triggered it? If it happens again, please take careful note of what you're doing (URLs visited, number of times visited, etc) and report back.
