Kitchen Sink Icons Not Appearing in Full-Screen Mode

Description
A member just reported that when she edited a page in full screen mode she lost access to all of the kitchen sink icons. I just tested this and experienced the same issue. Did this feature used to be there and is now gone, or was it never included?
Thanks,
Sarah

It may never have been included; in any case, it almost certainly hasn't been an option since Distraction Free Writing was introduced in WP 3.2. See https://wordpress.org/support/topic/code-is-poetry-in-updates-also
If at some point in the future WP introduces advanced features for distraction-free-writing, it would be great. For us to do it ourselves would take a very large amount of development time, as we would have to rebuild much of the (very complex) DFW javascript and styling. In the meantime, I would urge the reporter not to use fullscreen editing if the advanced buttons are needed, and I suggest we close the ticket.

I'm going to close this ticket, on the argument given above. If everyone else thinks that this is a must-have, we can talk about getting it somewhere on our roadmap.
Yeah, I think that this isn't worth our custom-development time given other priorities. Sarah, please convey our regrets to the member but tell her that we'll update the feature if/when WordPress does so.
