- Category name set to cuny.is
I'm seeing the same thing. It appears that requests are never reaching the Commons server.
When I ping cuny.is, or run `dig` to get DNS info, it gives me the following IP addresses:
https://geo-lookup.ipify.org/lookup-report/A02Mgwexk9
https://geo-lookup.ipify.org/lookup-report/1EkndZbw2Z
According to this, they're both Cloudflare IPs.
When I look at whois for cuny.is, I don't see anything about CUNY: https://www.whois.com/whois/cuny.is
Is it possible that someone let the domain renewal lapse?

This is very weird. I received "expiring soon" messages from the service I used to purchase the domain, but it wasn't supposed to expire until June 2024. The GC Business Office just put in the credit card this morning and completed a one-year extension (see attached). The only thing I can imagine is that somehow the renewal messed up our nameservers?
it looks like the nameservers are indeed cloudfare. Boone, can you please let me know what they should be?

I don't think it matters what the nameservers are, what matters is that the DNS records point to the correct IP. Your third screenshot https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/attachments/28305 suggests that they're right. Can you turn off the Cloudflare integration for the A records?
Updated by Boone Gorges 7 months ago
It looks to me like you deleted the records altogether. We need the A records, we just don't want the orange Cloudflare button to be pushed. I think you'll have to recreate them; see https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/attachments/28305 for the correct settings.

It looks right, but cuny.is is still not working for me locally. But when I check it from a remote machine, the correct A records are there, and wget works to fetch cuny.is/boonebgorges. So maybe something is cached for me? See also https://dnschecker.org/#A/cuny.is, which looks correct.
Are others able to access cuny.is right now?

- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Target version set to Not tracked
I had some debug code in place for cuny.is/admin, which has now been removed.
DNS is resolving properly for me now as well, so I think we're safe to close.
