I have noticed this too. It's a minor release today, and it is probably another case of the server grinding to account for that. Adding some watchers here.

I did a release about 45 minutes ago. It's become standard procedure that the site crashes for a while after each release. There's nothing I can do about it at the moment - we'll have to wait a bit to see if things clear up on their own.

I think the site came back briefly an hour or two ago, going off of Ray's status updates tool, but now it's back down. Should we open a ticket with IT, given the length of downtime at this point?
