Checking Logs on Website Changes for Missing Content

Hi All,

The help desk received this message from Syelle:

I have e-mail record notes that I edited the main Mission Statement text on this site homepage https://iletc.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ in October 2024 and again on May 28, 2025—and I believe I edited the page other times too, but I couldn't provide the dates).

When I opened the page today, all of my changes have been reverted, and in the revision history, the last recorded change was by:
Juwon Jun, 2 years ago (August 9, 2023 @ 00:52:27)

Luckily, I had the text wording edits in our files, so I made the change again today, and the page revision history has now captured today's changes, but this is obviously very worrying, and I wonder if other changes to the site have been lost.

Do you have any idea what could have caused this to happen to the homepage, and/or is there a way to restore those lost edits somehow?
Is there a way to find out if other changes that we've made to the site since 2023 have disappeared?

Could this be related to the October 1, 2023 back-up that Boone restored for us when Juwon deleted one of her Commons member accounts https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/18982? (But why would that cause any subsequent site changes to disappear?)

I did note in my response to Syelle:

I am seeing that the content was in the same single paragraph from Nov 2024 through May 2025. I know its limited snap shots but I am not sure how else to pinpoint when changes may have happened since they never appear at all here.

Is the home page the only place you are noticing changes in content? I am not sure the developers will be able to investigate further if they do not have more specific information about urls for missing content. Nevertheless, I will pass it along to them once I take a look and get a screenshot of the change log on the home page.

I am wondering if there is a way to check on Syelle's question "Is there a way to find out if other changes that we've made to the site since 2023 have disappeared?"

Is there a way to get a full change log for all pages on the site to see if what content was updated between Oct 2023 and now?

I am not sure how else to check on content changes so wanted to share this with you all to see if you have any idea or can check change logs.
