Hi Gregory - I've had a look over this plugin, and I feel uncomfortable installing it on the Commons. For one thing, it hasn't been updated in several years, and I can see just by looking at the code that there are a few places where it won't work with the latest version of WordPress. For another, it has a very unorthodox method of loading an adminstrative page that I fear may introduce security vulnerabilities to the site.
Can you give me more of a sense of how you envision using the plugin? Is it for a one-time import? How many links are we talking about? How central is it to your site? Depending on your answers, I might consider spending some time combing more carefully through the plugin to make sure it's safe to install (if only temporarily, for you to run your initial import), but I don't want to commit without having a sense of how you plan to use it.
Thanks!
Hey Boone - Thanks for installing the other plugins and theme so quickly!
I hear you on this plugin -- it's by no means ideal. When I started building the Office of Career Planning & Development site, I did so on my own server since there was a debate as to where the final site should be hosted once ready. One of the site's goals is to archive and organize career-related web resources. Thus, there's a lot of links in the blogroll with categories that need to be exported and then imported to the commons site. Before going down this road, I tested out this plugin on my server and it appeared to work fine.
If there's another way to export/import blogroll content (with categories) then I'm more than happy to try it. Also, if installing this plugin just so I can import the blogroll and then removing it is possible -- that would work too. It's really just a one-time importing of the blogroll content that I'm looking for.
Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for your patience, Greg.
I've modified the plugin and added it to our repo in https://github.com/castiron/cac/commit/bae353ba04279f7e2669cd0d0c9d940c40c73836 It'll be available later today, after the next deployment.
The plugin will be autoloaded for you on every blog (no one else except super admins has access to it). Once you've made your import, please let me know, as I'll want to remove it from the site.
I'll update this ticket when the changes are live.
- Status changed from Hold to Resolved
Hey Greg - The plugin is live. Please let me know how it goes. I'm going to close this ticket to clear my milestone, but please feel free to post updates here.
