Thanks, Boone. A few requests:

1. Can we have the button appear at both the top of the page and the bottom of the page?

2. Maybe it's because I see the "Get email updates" button and others don't, but it's kind of hard to see the Upload a Doc link. On the top instance, can you see if you can style it so that it's a little more prominently displayed? A bigger font might help. I'd also consider putting it directly under the Document List text.

I've made the button bigger, made the border more prominent and moved it under the Document List title.

I am against putting it at top and bottom for two reasons. One: Unnecessary clutter. If someone is coming to the page to upload something, they're probably not scanning through first, and if they are the button is prominent enough as it stands. Two: I would have to recode most of the page to allow multiple form submits and additional jQuery.

Your reasoning for not having it in two places makes sense. Definitely don't want to instigate any recoding.

I still think that the upload link needs to be bigger and more prominent. It should be a button you can't miss.

I just made it bigger. Please tell me exactly how big you'd like it if this doesn't work for you.

I'd say that the text size should now be a bit smaller -- it can match the size for the words Document List, or be very slightly smaller. And if you can style the button so that it has a bit of beveling like the type of group/last activity buttons above, that would be great.

Alternately, I can work on the styling myself.

The group type and last activity labels are not buttons. Styling this button like a non-button, and leaving all other buttons on the site the way they are, seems to be to be a bad idea in terms of consistent UI. Does that make sense?

If you want to make other style changes to the button, I encourage you to dig into themes/bp-nelo/_inc/custom.css. Search for "group-documents". It'll probably be more efficient than this process.

If nothing else, I hope that this exchange will make the beginning of your month-long break from the Commons that much sweeter. Sorry to get you working on such minutiae right at the end.
